Friday, May 20, 1904 Volume XXXVIII, Number 21 Pioneer Passes Away John R. Nagle, the oldest resident of northern Cambria county, died at the home of his son, John A. Nagle, near St. Boniface on Tuesday, aged ninety-two years. His death resulted from weakness of old age, as he had never in his long life been seriously ill. In spite of his great age Mr. Nagle's health had been excellent until a very recent date. During the harvest last year he rendered very material assistance on the farm and had been about until a few weeks before his death. He was married twice, but both of his wives have been long since dead. Surviving him are three sons - John A., Richard and Joseph. He was buried on Wednesday at the old St. Joseph cemetery, north of Carrolltown, where nearly all of the pioneers of that section are interred.
