Friday, 20 Jul 1906 Volume 40, Number 28 Drowned at Summerhill Lad Meets Death in Conemaugh River While in Bathing Wednesday Evening William Nelson, the 15-year-old son of Alfred Nelson of Summerhill was drowned about 7 o'clock Wednesday evening in the Conemaugh while in bathing. It is unknown how the lad was drowned as there were apparently no witnesses to the occurrence. Some working men passing along the river at the spot where the body was found, which is about a half mile left of the Summerhill station, noticed the lad's clothing on the back and upon investigation found the body at the bottom of the river.
