William O'Brian, one of our oldest citizens, died on Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock, after a very short illness. Mr. O'Brian had reached the age of 70 years and has been a resident of this place for near thirty years. He was a very religious man. Whenever he would be among any persons his whole subject would be about the old world. He could not be beaten on scripture or history for his age. The funeral will take place to-day, after morning service in the Catholic Church on Tunnel Hill, in the cemetery on the Summit, where his children are buried. He leaves a wife to mourn for him. May he rest in peace. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, August 14, 1880
