Friday, 13 Dec 1907 Volume 41, Number 49 Death of Mrs. Elizabeth O'Harra [sic] Mrs. Elizabeth O'Hara, relict of Samuel O'Hara and mother of Mrs. M. J. Luther of this place, died this Friday morning at 5 o'clock of heart failure after a brief illness at her home in Ebensburg. Deceased was 77 years old. Her husband preceded her to the spirit world beyond in 1882. She is survived by the following children: Anna, at home; Mrs. Samuel Shoemaker of Chicago; Mrs. E. R. Alverson of Branch, New York; Frank O'Hara of Cresson; David, Timothy and Mrs. M. J. Luther of Ebensburg. Deceased was born in Germany and came with her father, Michael Friedhoff, to America when only 13 years old. She was married to Samuel O'Hara who was a miller by trade, about the year 1849. They lived at O'Hara's Mill fifty years. The funeral will occur Tuesday, Rev. Father O'Neill of the Holy Name church officiating at the services. Interment to be in the old Catholic cemetery in this place.
