Thursday, April 11, 1907 BADLY HURT AT CRESSON. Car Inspector James O'Hara Run Over By a Car This Morning - Tried to Save Another Man. While making an attempt to save a fellow workman from being killed underneath a car at Cresson yesterday afternoon about 2 o'clock, James O'Hara, son of John O'Hara of Cresson, was run down by another car and so badly injured that he will die. He is at the Altoona hospital and his condition late this afternoon was very serious. O'Hara was employed as a car inspector by the Pennsylvania railroad company in the Cresson yards, and while in the performance of his duties noticed that a fellow workman was underneath a car that was about to be moved. He called to the other man, but owing to the noise of an approaching train his words could not be heard and he ran to the rescue of his fellow workman to pull him from underneath the car, when he was run down. His right foot was crushed and he sustained internal injuries of a very serious nature. The injured man was brought to the Altoona hospital. Owing to his serious condition the foot was not amputated. The other workman was not injured. Altoona Mirror Altoona, Pa. Friday, April 12, 1907 NOTES FROM THE HOSPITAL.
