Friday, 14 May 1909 Volume 43, Number 20 Munster Township Man Dies Suddenly of Pneumonia John O'Hara Passes Away at His Home Near Cresson Sunday After Short Illness Buried at Summit Cresson, Pa., May 13 -- John O'Hara, one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of Munster Township, died at his home on the Munster pike not far from Cresson on Sunday morning of pneumonia from which he had been ill for only three days. He was 73 years of age and had always enjoyed rugged health. Mr. O'Hara was undoubtedly one of the best citizens the county ever knew, being a man of the sternest integrity and withal of the kindliest and most generous disposition. He always took an active and intelligent interest in public affairs but would never consent to hold office, in spite of the fact that he was often urged to do so. He leaves a wide circle of friends who will be sorry to learn of the end of his long and useful life, nearly all of which was spent on the farm where he died. Surviving the deceased are his wife, who was Teresa Connery, and one daughter, Ida, wife of Francis Louther, who lives on the place with her husband; also Albert, the only son, who is likewise at home. The funeral took place on Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock with solemn high mass in the Catholic church at the Summit and interment in the adjoining cemetery.
