Friday, 29 Sep 1905 Volume 39, Number 38 William O'Hara Dead Was Mexican War Veteran from This County William O'Hara, one of the three veterans of the Mexican war in Cambria County, died at 5 o'clock Friday evening at his home in Munster township, aged 79 years. He had been in poor health for some time and about a year ago suffered a fracture of the right hip in a fall. This accident left him practically helpless. The deceased was born in Cambria county and spent his entire life here. He served in the Mexican war as a member of the Highlander's, a famous regiment recruited at Summit. He is survived by the following children: Mary A., at home; George of Cresson township; Torrence of Luckett Station; Henry, at home and Mrs. Edward Parrish of Ebensburg. He is also survived by the following stepchildren: Mrs. Anne Weible of Adams county, Md.; Oliver O'Hara of Greensburg; John and Millie, at home. The funeral took place at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning from St. Michael's Catholic Church at Loretto with interment in the church cemetery.
