Friday, 6 Jan 1905 Volume XXXVIII, Number 52 Two Pass Away – Owens and Rodgers On Wednesday evening Sarah Owens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Owens and George Rodgers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Rodgers, also of the East ward, passed away. The funeral arrangements have not been completed as yet. Cambria Freeman Ebensburg, Pa. Friday, 13 Jan 1905 Volume 39, Number 1 Sarah Owens Sarah Owens, aged 46, daughter of Edward and Anne Owens, died at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the parental home in the East ward, Ebensburg, death being caused by a complication of diseases. Miss Owens had been ill for the past 29 years of almost conditions suffered from rheumatism. About nine years ago she developed an affliction of the great toe on the right foot and soon after that the foot had to be amputated. Since then she has undergone different amputations, both legs off, being below the knees, at the time of her death. Besides her parents with whom she made her home she is survived by the following brothers and sisters: John of Ebensburg; William of Nevada; Margaret of Lorain; Kate, wife of John C. F. Jones of Braddock and James of Cambria township. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon by the Rev. W. H. Oldham, pastor of the local Christian church and the Rev. C. W. Teasdale, pastor of the Baptist church.
