Friday, 2 Jun 1905 Volume 39, Number 21 William Richard Owens William Richard Owens died suddenly Tuesday afternoon at the home of his mother, No. 33 Inwood street of heart failure. He as born at Ebensburg, Cambria county in 1878 but spent the greater part of his life in this city [Pittsburg]. He attended the Homewood public schools and after graduating from there took a business course in Curry college. Ill health, however, interfered with his work and he was forced to discontinue all studying. He belonged to the Fourth Methodist Episcopal church, Park avenue and Mayflower street. Besides his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Owens, he is survived by four sisters, Mrs. J. H. Humphreys of Philadelphia; Mrs. H. W. Luderbuehl and Mrs. J. M. Ellas of this city and Margaret L. Owens, at home. A brother, Edward A. Owens, at home, also survives. [Pittsburg TIMES]
