Friday, 15 Dec 1905 Volume 39, Number 49 Mrs. Mary R. Parrish Mary R., wife of Peter Parrish, of Barr township, died of heart failure at her home, Dec. 5, 1905, at 1:30 p.m. She had been in poor health for some time but was able to be around until a few months before her death. The deceased was born near Loretto, July 5, 1840, and was 65 years of age. She was united in marriage to Peter Parrish about the year 1861. To this union ten children were born, nine of whom survive, as follows: Mrs. Catherine Duman, Mrs. Barbara Kirsch and George V. of Stayton, Ore.; Joseph N., Mrs. Minnie Duman and Mrs. Eleonora Bechel of Barr township; and Thomas H., James A. and Frances D. at home. She is also survived by her husband; two brothers: John Wirtner of Patton and Nicholas Wirtner of Laporte, Ind.; and one sister, Mrs. Helena Luttringer of Johnstown. Thirty grand children also survive. After a high mass of requiem in St. Nicolas church, Dec. 7, she was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery at Nicktown, Pa. She was devout Catholic, a faithful wife, a loving mother and a kind neighbor.
