Dateline Washington Pa. Jan 23. – The Johnstown flood is recalled by the death at the Washington hospital of Charles PATTERSON, who had been allowed to sleep in a local tailor shop, acting as a kind of watchman. He had suffered a stroke of paralysis. He was aged 70 years. His home was at Johnstown before the flood there. He was away at that time and his wife and family were swept away and he never saw them again, they being probably among those who were unidentified. He was broken in spirit and became a wanderer, finally drifting here. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 1.1 Kb
