Friday, April 29, 1904 Volume XXXVIII, Number 18 Patton A poor Hungarian named Mike Pebrumick, but commonly called, "Starry," committed suicide last Saturday evening by hanging. He went into one of the closets at the Palmer House and taking his belt make a noose around his neck, fastening the other end to the water pipe. He then stepped from the [word unclear] and strangled to death. No case for the rash act can be learned though it is evident he was determined to die as it was only by bending his legs that he could remain suspended. When discovered he was dead. His body was removed to an undertaking establishment and was buried on Monday.
