Friday, 11 Nov 1910 Volume 44, Number 44 Loretto Liveryman Dead Loretto, Nov. 10 -- At 9 o'clock Tuesday morning in St. Michael's Catholic Church a requiem high mass was said by Rev. Father Ferdinand Kittell for William Phalen, the prominent liveryman of this place who died suddenly Sunday morning. Interment was in St. Michael's Cemetery. Mr. Phalen had been ill for some time with typhoid fever. Pneumonia developed late Saturday night and death followed unexpectedly. The deceased who was [number cut out of paper] years old was married two years ago to Miss Emma Biller, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Biller of Loretto. She survives with two brothers and three sisters of the deceased. They are James, living on the Phalen homestead in Carroll Township; John, a farmer in Allegheny Twp.; Mary, wife of A. M. Buck of Loretto; Jane, wife of James Farabaugh, Allegheny Township and Anna, wife of Charles Felix of Loretto.
