James Piper, one of the oldest and best citizens of Gallitzin, died 
at his residence there on Friday night.  He was seventy-two years of 
age and leaves his wife and nine children, all grown up.  Miss Myra, a 
daughter of the deceased, died at Gallitzin, one week ago.  The funeral 
of James Piper took place at Altoona on Monday afternoon.
