(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: March 04, 1871 Jonathan Robinson, who, several years ago, was a citizen of this county, and who was well known to the people of White and Gallitzin townships, in both of which he was engaged in the lumber business, died at the residence of his son-in-law in Erie, this state on last Saturday. His age was about 65 years and his remains were taken to Springfield, Mass. for burial. Mr. Robinson, as we are reliably informed, was the first man in Cambria county who either introduced into the county, at his saw mill in White township, or perhaps invented it, a machine to cut "clapboards," for weatherboarding houses. He was a genial companion, and was gifted with great natural shrewdness of character.
