Wednesday Morning, April 17, 1918 RITCHEY. Catharine M., wife of Joseph Ritchey, a Bens Creek merchant, died at her home in that borough, at 2 o'clock yesterday morning, of pneumonia. Mrs. Ritchey had been in poor health for a year but it was not until stricken with pneumonia that her condition became critical. Deceased was a daughter of Jeremiah and Maria Long, both deceased, and was born at Blue Knob, June 8, 1861. She grew to womanhood there and for a number of years was engaged in school teaching. Since her marriage she has resided at Bens Creek. She is survived by her husband and eight children, as follows: Jeremiah, of Bens Creek and Dollie, James, Edna, Benjamin, Lovina, Paul and Fred, all at home. She is also survived by her stepmother, residing at Blue Knob, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. John M. Ritchey, Benjamin F., Reuben B., and James, of Blue Knob; Louis N. of Duncansville; Mrs. Albert Ritchey, of Duncansville; Ira, of Altoona; Mrs. Ida Corle, of East Altoona and Mrs. Edna Mobley, of Portage. She is also survived by two grandchildren. She was a member of the Mount Moriah United Brethren church, at Blue Knob, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow forenoon at 11 o'clock, followed by interment in the cemetery at Butlersville.
