Friday, October 24, 1902 Andrew L. Rose, who owned and operated a machine shop in Ebensburg, died at his home in this place, on Tuesday morning at 2 o'clock from Bright's disease, aged about 60 years. Mr. Rose was born in Sweden, and came to this county when a young man. Very little could be learned of his early life. Shortly before the Johnstown Flood Mr. Rose located there and for several years carried on a machine shop. About six years ago he removed his plant to Ebensburg where he carried on the business up to his death. He is survived by his second wife and several sons by his first marriage whose residences are unknown. The funeral took place this (Thursday) morning when, after services in the Church of the Holy Name, his remains were interred in the cemetery west of town.
