The Cambria freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: June 20, 1867
Near Summerhill, this county, on Friday last, Mrs. Barbara Sharp, in the 77th year
of her age. The deceased was for full forty years a resident of Cambria county, and
was a most exemplary woman esteemed by all who knew her for her kindness of heart
and amiability of disposition. She was the mother of Mr. Powell Sharp, of Altoona,
who is now we believe, the only surviving member of the family. Her remains were
brought to this place on Sunday last by special train, attended by a large concourse
of mourning relatives and sympathizing friends and interred in the Union graveyard.
