Friday, October 17, 1902 KILLED AT CROSSING Mrs. Frank Santa, of Lower Yoder Township, wife of a man employed in the Goenner Brewing Company's washroom in Johnstown, was instantly killed by Way Passenger at the Brownstown Crossing shortly after 3 o'clock Monday afternoon. The woman had been at the Goenner brewery and was on her way home when struck. The last person killed at the Brownstown Crossing was Andy Salata, who was struck by a train Saturday evening, May 31st. His wife arrived there the day after from Hungary, looking forward to a reunion with him after several years' separation, and, on learning of his cruel death, attempted to throw herself under the wheels of the train which had brought her to Johnstown.
