Friday, 23 Aug 1912 Volume 45, Number 33 Frank P. Shiber Killed on Railroad The dead body of Frank P. Shiber of Sankertown, 41 years old, was found about 3:30 o'clock Monday morning along the main line of the PRR between Gallitzin and Cresson by a car inspector. An injury to the skull indicated that he had been hit by a train, but no one knows at what time. He had been at Gallitzin and evidently was walking home when run down. Mr. Shiber was a car repairman for the PRR on the C. & C. division. He leaves a widow, who has been an invalid for years and is now at the Roaring Springs Sanatorium and four children – Robert, John, Evalyn and Othella. He was a brother of Aloysius E. Shiber of Munster township; Gustave Shiber of Johnstown; John Shiber of Conemaugh; Mrs. Amanda Findley of Crawford county and Miss Ella Shiber of Munster township. The deceased's mother, Mrs. Susan Shiber, aged 84 years, also lives at the Shiber homestead in Munster township. The funeral was held Wednesday morning from St. Xavier's church with interment at the Summit.
