Monday morning, March 5, 1917 ROBERT SHUMAN Robert Shuman, a former resident of East Lexington avenue, and a frequent visitor in this city, died at his home in Mauch Chunk, Saturday morning at 6 o'clock, following an illness of four weeks with typhoid fever. Mr. Shuman was born in Cresson, March 7, 1865, and was a son of George and Elizabeth (Crissy) Shuman. He resided in Altoona from 1890 to 1897, and for a time was employed by the P.R.R. as a yard brakeman. Surviving Mr. Shuman are two daughters, Mrs. D. C. White, of Huntingdon, Bertha Shuman, at home, and one son, W. C. Shuman, of Mineral Point. Funeral services will be held from his late home Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock; interment following in the Lutheran cemetery.
