Neck Broken by a Fall on Icy Porch 

Mrs. John Simmen of Seldom Seen, a northern Cambria village, slipped on an 
icy porch at her home last week and fell and broke her neck, death 
resulting instantly.  She was returning from a spring, carrying two pails 
of water and in falling, her head struck the side of the door.  Her death 
was not discovered until her husband returned from work about two hours 
later.  She was aged about fifty-five years and is survived by her 
husband, two sons and two daughters. Interment was made at St. Boniface.
