Volume 44, Number 33 Friday, 26 Aug 1910 Lad's Neck Broken by Auto St. Benedict, Aug. 25 -- Clifford Simmers of St. Benedict, aged thirteen years, was run down by a big automobile late yesterday afternoon and received a broken neck. The car was owned by Rembrandt Peale, a New York coal operator, and was driven by John Henry. Mr. Peale was not in the car at the time of the accident. According to the witnesses, the death was purely accidental. Dr. J. C. McMillan of Barnesboro, the Coroner, decided that an inquest was unnecessary.
