Friday, 24 Nov 1905 Volume 39, Number 46 Mrs. June Singer Mrs. June Singer died at the home of her son, John L. Singer in Jackson township, Wednesday morning, November 22, aged 90 years, 1 month and 7 days. The deceased was born in Gettysburg, Oct. 14, 1815, and with her parents, John and Ann Rodgers, removed to Ebensburg when she was quite young. In 1836 she was united in marriage to John Singer, who, about a year later, located in Jackson township, where they resided except for a year when they lived at their brother-in-law's furnace (Ritter's) now Vintondale. She was the mother of four children – James M., ex-register and recorder; Lewis, who died in childhood; Lucy, deceased wife of Cornelius Hunt; and John L., at whose home she died. She was an invalid almost the whole period of her married life. The funeral sermon will be preached by the Rev. George H. Jones in the Vinco Brethren church at Vinco at 10 a.m. Interment in Browns' cemetery, near Vinco, after the service is concluded.
