Friday, 8 May 1908 Volume 42, Number 19 Third Death from Spotted Fever at Lilly Lilly, May 2 -- Spotted fever has claimed within seven days the third child in the family of H. Mills in this place. The latest victim was John Smith, a stepson of Mr. Mills, seven years of age. He died at 3:20 o'clock yesterday and three and one half hours later his body was buried by Undertaker J. E. Lowry. There is one small child remaining in the Mills family, a four year old boy. The Board of Health has been very active since the fever broke out in the Mills family and the members believe they have the disease under control.
