Friday, 15 Feb 1907 Volume 41, Number 7 Philip Smyers Dead Philip Smyers, aged 78 years, died at 5:20 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Trinkley in Cresson. Mr. Smyers had been living with his daughter for the past eight months and came from Cherrytree, Indiana county. He was a victim of paralysis. Besides the daughter mentioned above, the deceased is survived by the following children: Elmer, Mollie, Verda, Dora, Margaret, Elizabeth and Jessie, all of whom are married and reside in various parts of the state. Mr. Smyers was a Civil War veteran and a member of the G. A. R. Funeral services were held at Cherrytree this morning and burial was made in the cemetery there.
