Succeeds at Suicide
Emil Sodmont, Hastings Man Who Mutilated Self, is Dead

Hastings, May 17 -- Emil Sodmont, who on April 23rd cut this throat and then mutilated other parts 
of his body, died on Saturday night.  His funeral was held this morning, with interment at 
Carrolltown.  The time which Sodmont clung to life, considering the serious nature of his wounds, 
puzzled the physicians.  He was past sixty years of age and his vitality was remarkable.
