Every rib was fractured by the heavy machine and the boy suffered internal injuries about the abdominal region. He was conscious when brought to the city and admitted to the institution at 8:45 p.m., but a short time later elapsed into a comatose state from which he never rallied. It is said the boy was playing in the street at Cresson and was barefooted. He did not see the car which struck him approaching until it was too late to leap to safety. He was picked up, removed to a physician's office, where it was seen he was probably fatally hurt, and then was placed on a Pennsy train and brought to this city. Joseph Steberger, father of the lad, accompanied him here and remained with him until he died. His parents survive him with several other relatives. Deputy Coroner Rothrock will view the body today and it will later be removed to Cresson.
