Friday, 30 Aug 1907 Volume 41, Number 35 Tom Stence Tom Stence, a brakeman on the South Fork branch of the PRR, met death while at work, being run over by a train near Lovett. Spence was working out of South Fork and it is supposed, fell from his train and was crushed under the wheels. When the train reached Lovett, Stence was missed by fellow workmen. The train was backed down the track several miles and the mangled remains were found lying by the track. The remains were taken to Stence's home near Lovett, where interment was made Tuesday.
