Friday, 2 Feb 1906 Volume 40, Number 4 Nancy Sweeney Nancy Sweeney, who was admitted to the Poor House from Johnstown, July 12th, 1873, and who had been there almost continuously ever since, died at that place at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The old lady was mentally unsound and for years suffered from cancer of the stomach. As far as can be learned she had but two near relatives who reside at Pittsburg The remains were placed in the care of Undertaker John McGahan of Johnstown and were removed overland to that city Sunday afternoon and interred in Lower Yoder cemetery Monday morning after requiem mass at St. Columbia Church.
