Friday, 18 Oct 1907 Volume 41, Number 42 Died after Long Illness John Sworb, a well known resident of Gallitzin, died at his home Saturday night after a long illness from cancer of the stomach. Deceased was 68 years of age and had been a miner in Gallitzin for many years before the state of his health caused his retirement. Besides his wife, he is survived by the following children: Walter of Johnstown; William, at home; Charles at Pitcairn; Mrs. Mary Graybill at Pittsburg and Mrs. Celia Robinson of Altoona. A number of grandchildren also survive. The funeral took place at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning from St. Patrick's Catholic Church at Gallitzin of which the deceased was a member. After a mass of requiem interment followed in the church cemetery.
