Thursday Morning, May 2, 1918 THOMAS Martin Thomas died at the home of his son, William Thomas, at 407 Spruce avenue yesterday morning at 2 o'clock of a complication of diseases. He was a resident of Patton, Cambria county, where he had been engaged in farming. He was the son of John and Mary Thomas, deceased, and was born at St. Lawrence, Cambria county, in 1841. He was united in marriage to Miss Susan McConasty, who died ten years ago. He is survived by the following children: William, at whose home he died; James of Colver, John and Charles of Patton and Mrs. L. J. Biller of Cresson; also by twenty-three grand-children and the following brothers and sisters: Valentine of Carrolltown and Mrs. George Kibler of Hastings, Cambria county. He always took an active part in the welfare of the county and served ten years as supervisor of Clearfield township. He also served several years on the school board. He spent all his life in this state except three years in Iowa. The funeral cortege will leave his late residence tomorrow morning and will proceed to Patton where mass will be offered at St. Mary's Catholic church at 9 o'clock. Interment in the church cemetery.
