Deceased came to this country from Glenkheim, Bavaria, Germany in 1845 and settled in Indiana. He established the firm of Vogel Bros., merchant tailors, who began business on Philadelphia Street and later built their own building on North Sixth Street, where the business is still conducted by Ed, John and Lawrence Vogel, sons of Paul Vogel, a brother of the deceased. He is survived by his widow and two daughters, Blanche and Annie, at home. The funeral services were held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Bernard's Church by Revs. Fathers N. P. McNellis, Pearns and Farri and interment followed in St. Bernard's cemetery.
