(Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938: November 18, 1871 Our community was shocked about nine o'clock on Monday morning last by the announcement that Mr. Wm. J. Williams, an old and much respected citizen of this place, had fallen from the chair on which he was seated and expired almost immediately, having uttered but one brief sentence after receiving the fatal visitation... His age was about 55 years, and he leaves a wife and family, some of the latter of whom are married and all of whom are of sufficient age to provide for themselves if need be. Having become a convert to the Catholic faith several months ago, his remains were interred in the grave yard of that congregation on Wednesday last, whither they were followed by many of our citizens.
