Tuesday Morning, December 24, 1918 WATTS Samuel P. Watts, aged 63 years, died at 4.15 o'clock yesterday morning at his home, 130 Adams street, Ninth Ward Johnstown, after an illness lasting about eight months. His death was due to a complication of diseases. The deceased was born in Baltimore and located in Altoona many years ago, where he lost an arm while working for the P.R.R. From Altoona Mr. Watts removed to Pittsburgh. He came to Johnstown seven years ago as an expert painter for the Johnstown Automobile Company. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Conner Watts, and nine children: Frances, Walter, Joseph, Howard, Edward, Albert, Frank, Russell, and Olive, at home. Walter Watts has been in the Medical Department of the Aviation Service of the U.S. Army for 14 months, coming home Saturday night from Minneola Field, Long Island, on account of his father's illness. A sister, Mrs. Jerusha Pemington and two brothers, Joseph M. and Howard, also survive. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 3 o'clock, the services to be conducted by the Rev. Joseph N. Scholes, pastor of the First Christian Church, with burial in Grandview cemetery. The deceased was a member of the Christian Church. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Morning, December 24, 1918
