Wharton Mrs. Mary R. Wharton, wife of James A. Wharton, died at her farm home at St. Augustine, Cambria county, at 12:20 o'clock Sunday morning, of acute indigestion, after an illness of two weeks. Deceased was the daughter of Joseph and Susan McGough Dodson, deceased, and was born at Chest Springs, February 28, 1857. She was married to James A. Wharton on November 22, 1886, who survives with the following children: Margaret and Genevieve, of Altoona; Charles, Cyrus, Thomas, Edna, Florence, Omer, Grace and Joseph, at home. She is also survived by these step-children C. J. of Lorain; Mrs. Katherine McCoy and Miss [M] G. Wharton, of Altoona; Mrs. Helen Grimm, of Tyrone and Marcellus, of Dysart. She is also survived by the following brothers: Andrew and Silas McGough (sic), of Altoona; William McGough (sic), of Chest Springs, and Joseph McGough (sic), of East Liberty. She was a devout member of St. Augustine Roman Catholic church and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.
