Death of Miss Wherry 

Miss Mary Ann Wherry, an aged and respected resident of Center Ward, Ebensburg, died at her home on Ogle 
Street on Friday night last, from the effects of the grip.

Miss Wherry was a daughter of the late William Wherry and was born in Bedford County almost ninety-one 
years ago, but her parents removing to Cambria County when she was yet quite young, the greater part of her 
life was spent in Ebensburg and its immediate vicinity.

The deceased lady is survived by one sister, Mrs. David T. Jones of Johnstown, and one brother, Silas Wherry, 
who lived with her.

On Monday afternoon after services in the Presbyterian church in this place by Rev. Craig, her remains were 
laid to rest in Lloyd's cemetery.
