Friday, 2 Aug 1907 Volume 41, Number 31 Died in Cambria Township William R. Williams, a well known and respected citizen of Cambria township, who died at his home three miles west of Ebensburg Saturday, was in the 72d year of his age. Mr. Williams was the son of Robert and Mary Williams, deceased, settlers of Cambria township, and was born on the farm on which he died on the 11th of August, 1835. He resided on the same farm all his life and was an upright citizen, a good neighbor and a firm friend. In 1878 he married Mary McClure of Huntingdon county, who survives him, by whom he had four children, two dying in infancy and two daughters living – Emma, wife of Benjamin Evans and Hattie, wife of Morgan Hughes of McKeesport. He is also survived by one sister, Miss Julia Williams of Ebensburg. The funeral took place Monday, leaving the house at 1 p. m. and arriving at the Christian church in this place at 2 p. m. where, after services by the pastor, the Rev. Joseph A. Klucker, the interment was made in Lloyd cemetery.
