Indiana County Gazette Wed, Jan 23, 1907
George C. Zipf, of Johnstown, died at his brother's home, at 11:45 o'clock
Thursday night, in his forty-sixth year. He had been ill for about a month with
a complication of diseases. The deceased was born on October 14, 1861, and was a
son of Mr. and Mrs. George Zipf, deceased. George Zipf was never married. He
spent his boyhood days in Johnstown, later going to the mining regions in the
West, where he spent some years. He returned to Johnstown six or seven years ago
and has since been driving for his brother. Mrs. Andrew Nealor and Mrs. Mary
Brady, of town, cousins of the deceased, went to Johnstown Saturday morning to
attend the funeral at 3 o'clock that afternoon.
