H. Gauntner Lunch in Homestead Grove Honeymoon in the East On last Tuesday morning St. Michael's Church, Loretto, was the scene of a pretty wedding when Miss Rose McGuire, a prominent and accomplished young lady of Allegheny Township, became the bride of James E. Gauntner of Cresson. A nuptial high mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father Ferdinand Kittell and the ceremonies were attended by a large concourse of friends of the young couple. Miss Annie McGuire, sister of the bride, and Dr. William A. Little of Cresson were the bridesmaid and groomsman attending the bridal couple. After the marriage ceremonies most of the day was spent at the respective homes of the young couple and with their friends, the wedding breakfast and noon lunch being served at the home of the bride's father near Loretto and the dinner served at the home of the groom's mother at Cresson. The noon lunch table was spread in a grove on the McGuire homestead farm where a large number of friends gathered around the festive board and contributed to the happiness of the occasion, after which the wedding party drove to Cresson for dinner and later boarded an east bound train. It is understood they will spend their honeymoon in Baltimore, Washington, Philadelphia and other eastern cites and will be gone about two weeks. Upon their return Mr. and Mrs. Gauntner will make their home in Cresson. Mrs. Gauntner was for several years a teacher in the Cresson schools and is a daughter of George J. McGuire, a well known and successful farmer of Allegheny Township and is a sister of W. A. McGuire of Ebensburg. Mr. Gaunter is one of Cresson's most successful young businessmen. The FREEMAN joins with the many friends of the young couple in wishing them much happiness and prosperity.
