Friday, 13 Jan 1911 Volume 45, Number 2 Shower for Bride-to-Be A miscellaneous shower was given Friday evening by twenty five young ladies of Ebensburg for Miss Edith Owens of Cambria Township, who was married this week to Wallace Hughes of Johnstown. Miss Owens is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Owens, while her future husband is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hughes of South Ebensburg. A Local Wedding Wallace Hughes of Johnstown and Miss Edith Owens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Owens of Cambria Township were united in marriage Wednesday at the home of the bride's parents along the Carrolltown road, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. H. H. Guernsey, pastor of the Ebensburg Congregational church. They were attended by Ezekiel Hughes, brother of the groom and Miss Dora Owens, a sister of the bride. Mr. Hughes is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hughes of near Wilmore and has been working as a bookkeeper in Johnstown for some time. The couple left for Johnstown to make their home at No. 434 Wood Street.
