Friday, 26 Oct 1906 Volume 40, Number 43 Oldham-Davison One of the largest weddings that has taken place in Ebensburg for sometime was solemnized Wednesday evening at 5 o'clock when Miss Lyda Davison, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. T. J. Davison became the bride of the Rev. Wylie H. Oldham, formerly pastor of the Christian church at Ebensburg, who is now located at East Liverpool, O. The affair was an elaborate one and was solemnized in the Ebensburg Methodist Church by the pastor, the Rev. P. J. Chilcote, who was assisted by the Rev. Andrew J. Welty, pastor of the Christian church at the county seat. The couple entered the church to the strains of a beautiful wedding march rendered by Clifford Ludwig. Prior to the ceremony Miss Ethel Shields sang, "O Promise Me," with an accompaniment by Mr. Ludwig. The bridesmaid was Miss June Davis of Ebensburg while the Rev. A. T. Gordon, pastor of the Christian church at Beaver, Pa., was the best man. The Misses Elizabeth Jones, daughter of Cyrus Jones and Mary Pannebaker, were the flower girls with the Misses Luella Lloyd, daughter of Fergus Lloyd, Eva Estep, daughter of Luther Estep, Frances Thompson, daughter of Walter R. Thompson and Louis (sic) Owens, daughter of John Owens as ribbon girls. The Messrs. Marshall Owens and Harvey Tibbott were the ushers. The church was tastefully decorated with potted plants and cut flowers as well as the Davison home, where a reception was held after the ceremony. The color scheme of the decorations was yellow and white. The couple left for eastern cities to spend a honeymoon of several weeks. They will make their home in East Liverpool, where the groom was recently appointed to the pastorate of the Christian Church.
