Friday, 4 Jun 1909 Volume 43, Number 23 Shultz-Stokes The marriage of Miss Katharine Stokes of Ebensburg to Otto Schultz of Pittsburg was solemnized at 6 o'clock Tuesday evening at the home of the former's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Bassett in South Fork. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Titus Lowe, pastor of the South Fork Methodist Episcopal church and the bride was attended by Miss Kenturah Stringer of Windber. Mr. Schultz is a native of Germany where he met Miss Stokes some years ago while she was studying music in Berlin. Miss Stringer, who served as Miss Stokes' attendant, studied music with the bride during her stay in Berlin. The Stokes family, of Johnstown, were at South Fork to witness the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Schultz left South Fork for Pittsburg where the groom has been employed for the past few years. Miss Stokes is an accomplished musician and was for some time organist at the Ebensburg Congregational Church. She is a daughter of Prof. Robert G. Stokes of Johnstown.
