Friday, 12 Jan 1906 Volume 40, Number 1 Strickland-Gunning On Tuesday evening, Dec. 26th at half after five at his residence the Rev. J. J. Deasy, pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic church, Gallitzin, united in marriage Miss M. Kathryn Gunning and Mr. Charles W. Strickland. The ceremony was witnessed only by Miss Murphy of Latrobe who attended the bride and Mr. G. Gunning. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the bride's home, Central Hotel, from six until eight. The young couple left on Philadelphia Express for Philadelphia and the East where the honeymoon will be spent. On their return from the east Mr. and Mrs. Strickland will make their residence in Sturgis, Kentucky, where the groom is employed as an engineer by the West Kentucky Coal company. Among the guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Webster of Cumberland, Md., Mrs. L. F. Hughes and daughter, Miss Clare of Philadelphia; Dr. and Mrs. Murphy of Loretto, Miss Nell Murphy, Miss Yeckley of Portage, Mr. Lon Gunning of Cincinnati, Ohio; Miss Fitzharris, Dr. A. F. Akers, Mr. J. M. David of Greensburg.
