Friday, 15 Jun 1906 Volume 40, Number 23 Weakland-Bearer James Weakland, the eldest son of Peter J. Weakland and Otilia Bearer, daughter of D. J. Bearer, both of Susquehanna township, were married Tuesday morning at St. Bernard's Catholic church in Spangler, a solemn nuptial high mass being said by the Rev. Father Germane. The attendants were Isadore Bearer, of Conemaugh, a brother of the bride and Miss Caroline Baker of St. Lawrence. Following the ceremony, dinner was served at the home of the bride's parents. Dancing was indulged in during the evening. The young couple were the recipients of many valuable and useful presents. The wedding was attended by a large number of friends of both parties. Mr. Weakland is an electrician for the Northern Cambria Street Railway company. His bride is very popular. She is a niece of Deputy Sheriff M. D. Bearer of this place.
