Caola) THIS INDENTURE mad the first day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three Between John Nevling of the Town of Birmingham in the County of Huntingdon, Mill wright, and Jonathan Boynton of the Township of Beccaria in the County of Clearfield, Merchant, Administrators of the estate of Adam Nevling late of the Township of Beccaria in the County of Clearfield, dec'd of the one part and John Emigh of the Township of Halfmoon in the County of Centre and State of Pennsylvania, yeoman, of the other part. WITNESSETH that the said John Nevling and Jonathan Boynton administrators as aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred and thirty six dollars and twenty five cents lawful money of the United States in hand paid by the said John Emigh unto the said Adam Nevling in his lifetime at and before the ensealing and delivery of, we do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said John Emigh his heirs and assigns all that tract and piece of land situate in Halfmoon Township in the County of Centre adjoining lands of Robert Henderson, John VanPool, Hoys improvement and other lands of John Emigh. Beginning at a pine on the land of Robert Henderson south twelve ‡ degrees east one hundred and twenty four perches to a post thence south eighty two degrees east twenty perches to a maple, thence north thirty eight degrees East one hundred and four perches to a chestnut, thence north seventy two degrees East thirty two perches to a black oak, thence south eighty two and a half degrees West fifty four perches to a white oak thence south sixty two and a half degrees west twenty perches to a chestnut, thence south forty nine degrees east one hundred and fifty perches to a chestnut oak, thence South fifty nine degrees West one hundred and eight perches to a pine and place of beginning, containing one hundred and fourteen acres and fifty two perches, be the same more or less. It being a part of a larger tract of land surveyed in pursuance of a warrant dated 25th day of January 1800 granted to Moses Cotes who by deed dated the 17th day of Nov. 1801 conveyed the same unto Thomas Vaughn and Thomas Vaughn by his last will and testament dated the 24th day of November 1804 did appoint his son Thomas Vaughn and the said Thomas Vaughn and Elizabeth Vaughn his wife conveyed the same unto Adam Nevling by their Indenture dated the ninth day of July A.D. one thousand eight hundred twenty three duly recorded in the Registers Office Recording of Deeds in Bellefonte in the County of Centre. Together with all and singular the building improvements, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rent, issues and profits thereof and also all the estate, right, interest, property, claim and demand whatsoever of them the said John Nevling and Jonathan Boynton, administrators as aforesaid in law and equity or otherwise howsoever of, in, to or out of the same. To have and to hold the said tract of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said John Emigh his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Nevling and Jonathan Boynton administrators as aforesaid, their heirs, executors and administrators do hereby covenant promise, grand and agree to and with the said John Emigh his heirs and assigns by these presents, that they the said John Nevling and Jonathan Boynton administrators their heirs the above mentioned and described premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said John Emigh his heirs and assigns against the said John Nevling and Jonathan Boynton administrators as aforesaid and their heirs and against all and every person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same shall and will warrant and forever defend, by these presents.
