(Clearfield, Pa.) March 10, 1858 Mr. John Smith, Jr. of Howard township, met with a painful accident which occasioned his death on the 25th ult. He had gone four or five days previous, to visit his sister, who was lying ill at the residence of Mr. Watkins in Curtin township, and upon arriving at the place, proceeded to put up his horse, when a colt which he was passing kicked his horse; the horse ran against Mr. Smith, knocked him down and trampled upon his stomach. He was conveyed, in an insensible state, back to Howard, where he died on the 25th ult.
