(Clearfield, Pa.) January 20, 1858 On Wednesday evening the 6th inst., a little son of Robert M'Knight, Superintendent of the Gas Works, in Bellefonte was playing through the house, when its clothes caught upon a tea kettle of boiling water which was setting on the stove hearth, and falling down the water was spilled upon him scalding him in a shocking manner, from the effects of winch he died in a few hours afterwards. The child was about 19 months old.
