All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/centre/ ________________________________________________ Democratic Watchman 22 February 1935 While at work at the Whiterock quarries at Pleasant Gap, about seven o'clock on Monday morning [February 18], Joshua Armstrong was stricken with a heart attack, collapsed and died almost immediately. Only a few moments before the fatal attack he had remarked to Ward Showers that he never "felt better in his life." He was a son of Joshua A. and Sarah Stover Armstrong and was born in Spring township 70 years ago. He had been an employee at Whiterock for 23 years. His survivors include his wife, one son, Harry Armstrong, of Pleasant Gap; a daughter, Mrs. George Wise, of Bellefonte, and four grand-children. Funeral services were held at his late home at 2 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, burial being made in the Pleasant Gap cemetery. Additional Comments: Joshua was married to Margaret Weaver.
