William Curtin, of Bellefonte, while in Phillipsburg, on Friday, got from one of the doctors of that place a prescription calling for laudanum and opium. The dose was to have been fifteen drops, but he misunderstood the directions and took all the bottle contained. As a result he became unconscious and it took the united efforts of four or five doctors to save his life, which was only accomplished with the utmost difficulty. The unfortunate man died on Tuesday from the effects of the poison. He was aged 35 years. The Huntingdon Journal, Huntingdon, Pa., Friday, September 16, 1887
